Prof. Dr. Kerstin Luedtke: „The future of physiotherapy for headaches and migraine“
Migraine, tension-type headache and cervicogenic headache are usually accompanied by neck pain. But why can a migraine attack start with neck pain and still be a primary headache? And where do the muscular tension and myofascial trigger points in the neck muscles come from in tension-type headache? This course is about the distinction and the similarities of headache types and the connection between primary headache types and the cervical spine. The aim is to support physiotherapists in understanding the possibilities and limitations of physiotherapy as a treatment option for different headache types and especially for migraine.
